Filming, even when space does not normally allow it
The Samyang 16mm T2.2 VDSLR ED AS UMC CS II is a fast wide-angle Lens that has been specially developed for the needs of APSC sensors. The carefully crafted Samyang video lens is equipped with both a decoupled follow focus and aperture ring to meet the special requirements of filmmakers and videographers.

Cine-LensFeatures
The Samyang 16mm T2.2 VDSLR ED AS UMC CS II can be used with great precision thanks to the marking of the aperture stops and distance scale. A follow-focus ring enables easy tracking of the focus, while the decoupled aperture can be adjusted steplessly and silently. Both the distance scale and the aperture steps are clearly visible on both sides of the tube.

Optical processing
Working with the Samyang 16 mm T2.2 VDSLR ED AS UMC CS II is possible without any problems even in poor lighting conditions. The open aperture of T2.2 captures enough light on the sensor to easily achieve top results in environments with poor light yield. This is made possible by the construction of 13 lenses arranged in 11 groups.
Various special lenses have been used to prevent chromatic aberrations, ghost images and flares. The combination of an aspherical hybrid lens (H-ASP), an aspherical glass lens (ASP) and the "extra low dispersion" lens (ED) harmonize perfectly and ensure extremely good image quality with crisp contrasts. Even with the aperture open, the image is clear from the center to the edges. The design is rounded off by the special Samyang Ultra Multi Coating (UMC), which also helps to prevent ghosting and unsightly flares.

VDSLRII
Samyang has revised some of the video lenses previously available. In addition to improvements in image quality, these Lens impress with their simplified handling. All VCDSLR II CINE LENSES are designed so that the aperture selection and focus rings are always in the same place, making it much easier for the user to switch between focal lengths.
