ND VARIO FILTER
Thanks to its continuously adjustable density, the B+W ND vario filter can be set precisely to the desired situation. It has an index setting that allows the photographer to determine the required density between +1 and +5 f-stops. To avoid aberrations, the light reduction cannot be set beyond a critical value. Color reproduction remains constant over the entire setting range. This means that the B+W ND vario filter can achieve professional imaging performance even with high filter factors.

The effect of the B+W ND vario filter can be infinitely adjusted to suit a wide variety of subject situations. Often, a large aperture is desired to visually separate the main subject from the background, or deliberately long exposure times are required to depict flowing water in a soft, airy manner. The B+W ND vario filter is ideal for DSLR video when a specific aperture needs to be achieved.

B+W FILTER PREMIUM LINE
The ever shorter focal length of zoom lenses for digital system cameras increases their susceptibility to vignetting when attachments such as filters are used. For this reason, B+W has developed the Premium Line with an extremely narrow filter mount: XS-Pro Digital. It is ideal for demanding DSLR photography with short wide-angle zooms, starting at 10 mm (APS format).
Despite its low height, this mount is fully equipped with a front thread for additional accessories such as lens hoods or snap-on lens caps. B+W replaces the surface of the filter mounts and mechanics in its flagship XS-PRO filter line with a newly developed coating technology. The combination coating originates from high-tech industrial technology and has ingenious properties: The surface finish is extremely smooth and thus achieves very effective sliding properties. This optimizes the screw-in behavior and allows the filter to be screwed in and out comfortably.

FILTER LINE - FROM THE PREMIUM LINE - FILTER LINE FOR EXCLUSIVE DEMANDS
The B+W Premium-Line XS-Pro Digital is the filter line with an extremely narrow filter mount. XS-Pro Digital is ideal for the demanding DSLR photographer with typical wide-angle zoom lenses starting from focal length 12 mm at APS C and focal length 18 mm KB full frame.

A range of filter diameters is offered for mirrorless system cameras. Despite the low overall height of 3.2 mm for the screw filter and 4.2 mm for the rotatable polarizing filter, in each case without a connecting thread, this mount is equipped with a full front thread for other B+W accessories such as a lens hood or snap-on lens cap (Snap-Cap).

MRC NANO COATING WITH LOTUS EFFECT
The B+W MRC nano-coated filters have the same high-quality MC coating with 7 layers on both sides as the MRC coating. This ensures high transmission and maximum anti-reflection by minimizing reflection losses. Since instead of the usual 4% reflection losses at the glass surface with an MC layer, this value is reduced to an average of well below 0.5%, more brilliant colors and higher contrasts can be achieved.

The MRC nano outer layer is an innovative additional layer that significantly exceeds the dirt- and water-repellent effect of the well-known B+W MRC coating. The surface property, which is based on nanotechnology (lotus effect), hardly allows dirt to adhere.

Water achieves a very effective beading effect and literally rolls off the glass surface. Cleaning the filter is amazingly simple and fast. In addition, the superhydrophobic surface reduces fogging. When moving from a cold to a warm environment, the fogging dissolves from the filter glass surface within a very short time

The B+W Premium Line with its exclusive MRC nano-coating are exquisite filters for purists! Only materials of the highest optical quality grade are used.
